Toy Store Reviews: Burro Kids in Venice

Now that my daughter is in preschool we pretty much attend birthday parties every other week, which is the perfect excuse to explore the Los Angeles toy store scene. A few weeks ago, I spent some time on the west side over in Venice exploring the ultra chic Abbott Kinney Blvd. so I was excited to pop into Burro Kids, a toy store I’ve seen in pictures but never personally visited.

As soon as we walked in I knew I was in trouble. Open since 2011, this little shop is packed full of goodies perfect for the baby - toddler range. They have an impressive selection of Ooly art supplies (along with other brands) and all of the cool hipster books I love to give to people. They carry all of the top brands you would expect at a high end toy store (Meri Meri, Jelly Cat, Petit Collage, Maileg, etc) as well as many small brands in the clothing section. I left with gifts for three different parties - each gift grouping consisting of a book and art supply and another little goodie or two. And for my little one I got the cutest magnetic animal band play set from Petit Collage that will be perfect for travel and restaurants.

Make sure to save some of your pocket change so you can stop next door at the Burro sister store for all of your adult gifting needs!

Happy shopping!
