Pie ’n Burger has been a Pasadena favorite since 1963 and I think the name speaks for itself on what they’re serving. Even though this is “greasy spoon” diner, it’s an award winner and a favorite of Eater LA and LA Times Food due to the quality of the bites.

Vibes: This old-fashioned joint doesn’t seem to have changed it’s interior much from when it opened, and I’m just fine with that. Although I usually take Marie to more refined dining, she’s going to know her way around the diner menus as well. The service is sweet and swift, it’s a very welcoming spot.

Kids Menu: There is a designated kids menu with items under $7 and it’s awesome for kids who are eating bacon and sausage for breakfast, or burgers and hot dogs for lunch. We actually veered off from the kids menu, since she’s pescetarian, so 2 eggs and a fruit bowl it was. We predicted she’d want to eat all of our carbs, so dad prepared to surrender some of his hash browns to her.

Price: $10.25, not including tax, tip and multiple bites of dad’s hashbrowns

Pro Tip: It’s cash/check only, so hit up an ATM before you go.

Highchairs: There are highchairs here but I did have to wipe ours down myself, I think one of the kiddos may have gone crazy with the syrup before we got there. No biggie, I carry wipes with me everywhere!

Changing Table: No designated changing table but for the infants, there is a vanity in the women’s bathroom that may be able to double as one.

Stroller Access: There’s room for a lightweight stroller but double wides may want to park it at the entrance.

Parking: There is a private parking lot and street parking.

Bonus: The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens are not too far of a drive. We popped Marie in the stroller and burned off all those burger calories after lunch.
