Best Day Ever! - Blair Hills Park

Best Day Ever! - Blair Hills Park

The Blair Hills Park in Mid-City Los Angeles is a super solid option for your next park-oriented adventure. The park benefitted majorly from some big upgrades in June 2019 and the change is pretty monumental. Located up in The Blair Hills section of Culver City (right down the street from the Stoneview Nature Center) this park has a lot to recommend it. The equipment is all brand-spanking new and I was super happy to find plentiful shade and a nice soft rubber floor for tumbling toddlers to get as crazy as they wanna get. There are two park structures separated in age (2-5 year-olds and 5-12 year-olds) with all of the bells and whistles you would expect (musical elements, climbing structures, slides, great accessibility etc) and plenty of swings.

One thing I really love about the park is how much it feels like a community park. I read that community members actually voted on the new park design which I think is really cool. We visited the park on a Sunday morning and there was a birthday party going on across the plenty-big field in one section of the park, a local mommy & me meetup group activity, people playing soccer and a whole bunch of kids on the playground. The park had a very festive feel, downright buzzing with activity but it never felt too busy or overcrowded like some other popular Los Angeles parks.

While I wouldn’t necessarily suggest driving from across town just to visit the park, if you group it with the nature center or Kenneth Hahn or the nature center it'll make for a full day of adventure!
